The Cobb 8x10 with reclaimed mahogany frame

$450.00

The Cobb is a part of the metropolitan tract, constructed between 1909-1920. The Cobb is the architectural sibling of the White-Henry-Stuart Building which was demolished in 1974 to make way for the Rainier Tower that currently stands in its place. The White-Henry-Stuart Building had Honduran mahogany flooring that was salvaged and kept in dry storage until this year. This print is framed in some of this century old mahogany. I crafted this frame using hand tools, it is one of a kind. More about my framing process can be found here.

I took this photo in early 2023 with the intention of framing it in a piece of its architectural sibling. It is a traditional darkroom print on Zone IV brilliant bromide, washed to archival standards.
